The College of Charleston Cougars and the William & Mary Tribe will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.

Charleston enters this one at 21-7 overall. The Cougars have won seven of their last eight games, beating Elon, William & Mary, JMU, Towson, Delaware, Drexel and Northeastern in that stretch.

In the win over the Huskies, Charleston’s Grant Riller paced the team on 33 points with six rebounds and two assists. Jarrell Brantley also had a nice outing for the Cougars there, doubling up on 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Over on the Tribe side, they’re 10-16 this season. William & Mary is 3-2 in their last five games, falling to Hofstra and Northeastern while taking out Drexel, Delaware and Elon in that time.

In the win over the Phoenix, William & Mary’s Nathan Knight was the top scorer on 35 points with 13 rebounds. Matt Milon added 19 points for the Tribe there, and Justin Pierce doubled up on 18 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

The Cougars are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 7-15 ATS in their last 22 versus a team with a losing straight-up record. Charleston is 23-56-2 ATS in their last 81 after an ATS win and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.

Meanwhile, the Tribe are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 versus the CAA. William & Mary is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 Thursday games.

The last time these teams met was a 74-59 home victory for Charleston. Since then the Cougars have been on a great run and have only fallen to a pesky Hofstra team that’s beaten them twice this year.

William & Mary have been putting up some nice numbers on offense recently however, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Tribe keep pace a lot better here. I’m going W&M on the cover.
