|Date & Time||Saturday December 1, 2018, 2:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix +5.5 -- Over/Under: 165
The Belmont Bruins and the Green Bay Phoenix will meet in college basketball action on Saturday.
Belmont rolls into this one at 6-0 so far. This year, the Bruins have taken out Illinois State, Middle Tennessee, Lipscomb, Trevecca Nazarene, Kennesaw State and Samford.
In the Bulldogs game, Belmont’s Dylan Windler led the way, doubling up on 31 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Hopkins also had a nice outing for Belmont with 21 points, three assists and one rebound.
Over on the Green Bay side, they’re sitting at 4-3 this season. The Phoenix have fallen to Indiana State, Iowa and Oregon but posted wins over Wis. Lutheran, Eastern WA, Morehead State and Northern Illinois.
In the Huskies game, Green Bay’s Tank Hemphill posted a double-double on 25 points, 10 rebounds and one assist. Sandy Cohen also put up a nice line with 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Belmont is 7-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. The Bruins are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix are 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last five non-conference games. Green Bay is 5-0 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games.
Samford and Lipscomb gave the Bruins a little bit of trouble, but on the whole Belmont has been a pretty dominant and well-rounded squad this season.
As for Green Bay, they’ve run into a couple of tough customers so far and haven’t looked too bad in those games even tough they were outmatched. .
Still, I like Belmont to keep rolling here and cover.
