The Line: Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers +1.5 -- Over/Under: 154.5
The Green Bay Phoenix and the Milwaukee Panthers will match up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Green Bay rolls into this one at 6-7 on the season. Since beating Wisconsin-Stout, Green Bay has lost their last three outings versus Creighton, Michigan State and Evansville.
In the Aces game, Green Bay’s Kameron Hankers led the way with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. Sandy Cohen was also in double-figures with 16 points and seven rebounds for the Phoenix.
Over on the Milwaukee side, they’re 5-8 this year. Following a loss to North Dakota on December 9, the Panthers have rattled off wins over UMKC, Wis. Lutheran and Western Michigan.
In the Broncos game, Milwaukee’s lead scorer was Darius Roy with 18 points and six rebounds. Vance Johnson helped out with 14 points and five boards, while Bryce Barnes posted 12 points and six rebounds.
The Phoenix are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six following an ATS loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six following a straight-up loss. Green Bay is 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Horizon League and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 9-3 ATS in their lsat 12 versus the Horizon League. Milwaukee is 5-2 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win and the under is 13-3 in their last 16 Saturday games.
It’s been a tough run against some pretty good teams for the Phoenix, but even against teams they should match up well with, they seem to struggle more often than not.
Milwaukee isn’t exactly blowing the doors off anyone either, but they’ve been playing better recently. I’m going to go with the Panthers on a slim cover, but staying away realistically.
