The Houston Baptist Huskies look to shock college basketball with a win at the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Houston Baptist Huskies sit at 1-1 on the year after knocking off Fordham 75-72. Houston Baptist rallied from a five point deficit heading to the locker room with 48.1% shooting barely enough to overcome the Rams 42.1% accuracy which included 14 makes from beyond the arc.

Ian Dubose saved the Huskies as he poured in 23 points and grabbed six rebounds on 8-10 marksmanship including three long balls. Oliver Lynch-Daniels gave Houston Baptist nine points, four pulls and five assists while four others contributed between 7-8 points.

The Wisconsin Badgers have won two straight to begin the 2018-19 campaign after upending Xavier 77-68 on Tuesday. Wisconsin sank half their looks with Xavier hitting shots at 45.8% which was decisive.

Ethan Happ gave the Badgers a monster effort with a game high 30 points with 13 rebounds and five assists on 15-23 marksmanship. Wisconsin received another 22 point, five boards and five assists from D’Mitrik Trice on 7-11 including 5-5 from deep followed by Brad Davison with 19 points and six pulls on 7-12 with another four bombs.

Over is 6-2 in Houston Baptist last 8 non-conference games and Houston Baptist are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Wisconsin are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and over is 7-3 in Wisconsin last 10 Saturday games.

The Portland Pilots take the hardwood with the Cal State Northridge Matadors in west coast college basketball on Saturday.

The Portland Pilots fell to 1-2 following a 78-73 defeat versus North Texas as a nine point underdog. The box score was competitive throughout with North Texas holding a decisive 52.8%-48.1% shooting edge.

Jojo Walker carried the Pilots offense with 22 points and three yanks on 9-11 marksmanship including four long balls. Marcus Shaver Jr. netted 18 points on 6-13 followed by Josh McSwiggan and Hugh Hogland with nine and eight points respectively.

Wisconsin wins by as many as they desire so this has very little value in my view...

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
