Wisconsin Badgers -8.5 O/U: 127.5
The Northwestern Wildcats and the Wisconsin Badgers will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Northwestern rolls into this game at 12-7 overall on the year. After falling in consecutive games to Iowa and Michigan, the Wildcats have taken out Rutgers and Indiana in their last pair.
In the win over the Hoosiers, Northwestern’s Aaron Falzon led the way with 21 points, one assist and one rebound. Dererk Pardon posted 17 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats in that one, and Vic Law added 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Over on the Wisconsin side, they’re 13-6 this season. After a 64-60 loss to Maryland, the Badgers took out Michigan 64-54, then won versus Illinois 72-60 in their last outing Wednesday.
In the win over the Illini, Wisconsin’s Nathan Reuvers led the team, doubling up on 22 points and 10 rebounds. D’Mitrik Trice poured in 16 points for the Badgers there, and Khalil Iverson added 12 points with seven rebounds.
The Wildcats are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS win. Northwestern is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games and the under is 4-1 in their last five Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Badgers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 after an ATS win. Wisconsin is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 versus the Big Ten and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 after a straight-up win.
Northwestern is currently in a pretty tough part of their schedule, but lately they’ve been beating the teams they should be beating in a Big Ten that’s all over the map record-wise. After this one is a big road trip to Maryland, so in essence we could have something of a trap game here, and things could get out of hand.
With that in mind, Wisconsin has been looking like quite a solid team lately, and in a home outing here I like the Badgers to bring Northwestern back to earth. I’m going Wisconsin.
