The Penn State Nittany Lions and the Wisconsin Badgers meet in Big Ten college basketball action from the Kohl Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Penn State Nittany Lions will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after a 78-61 win over Maryland in their last outing. Lamar Stevens led the Nittany Lions with 24 points on 9 of 17 shooting with a team-high 5 rebounds while Myles Dread had 17 points and Myreon Jones chipped in 10 points in 8 minutes to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Penn State in the win. John Harrar had 9 points with 3 steals and Josh Reaves had 5 points to match his 5 rebounds while Jamari Wheeler dished out a team-high 7 assists in the win. Stevens leads Penn State with an average of 19.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while Reaves leads the Nittany Lions in assists with 3.1 assists per game this season. As a team, Penn State is averaging 70.1 points per game on 41.9% shooting from the field, 32% from behind the 3-point line and 69.7% from the foul line this season.

The Wisconsin Badgers will be looking to rebound from a 75-73 overtime loss to Indiana in their last outing. Ethan Happ led the Badgers with 23 points on 9 of 18 shooting with a team-high 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the double-double. Khalil Iverson had 15 points on 7 of 11 shooting while D’Mitrik Trice chipped in 12 points to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Wisconsin in the losing effort. Nate Reuvers chipped in 7 points with 7 rebounds and a pair of blocks as well in the loss. Happ leads the Badgers by averaging a double-double per game with 17.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game this season. As a team, Wisconsin is averaging 70 points per game on 46.1% shooting from the field, 38.2% from behind the arc and 64.6% from the foul line this season.

Penn State is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. Wisconsin is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 home games. Penn State is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams at Wisconsin.

There’s no doubting that Wisconsin should be favored here, but the fact is that the Badgers have been brutal ATS as of late and the loss to Indiana really dealt my confidence in Wisconsin a major blow. Penn State has cashed in their last couple of outings as underdogs and the Nittany Lions have had a ton of success against the Badgers ATS in the Kohl Center, so I’ll take a shot with Penn State and the points in this one.

Penn State +7.5
