Nathan Hoover led the Terriers with 25 points on 10 of 19 shooting with 3 threes while Cameron Jackson added 23 points on 9 of 14 shooting with team-highs of 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for the double-double as the only other double-digit scorer for Wofford in the win. Furman is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 conference games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 road games. Wofford is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a win. Furman is 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings between these two teams and 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams at Wofford.
I thought after their win over Villanova, and part of me still thinks now, that Furman is the team to beat in the SoCon. However, Wofford has shown that they’re no pushovers and have win each of the last two meetings between the two at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium by 9 points, which is where the line sits at the time that I’m posting this. With that said, this is a battle between two of the best that the SoCon has to offer and as such I’ll take a shot with Furman and the points as I think this is a game that’s decided by free throws or comes down to the final possession.
