Wright State Raiders -14 O/U: 145
The Cleveland State Vikings and the Wright State Raiders will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Cleveland State currently sits at 8-20 on the year. The Vikings are 2-1 in their last three games however, with a loss to UIC sandwiched between wins over Milwaukee and IUPUI in that time.
In the win over the Jaguars, Cleveland State’s Tyree Appleby led the way on 26 points with 11 assists and three rebounds. Both Rashad Williams and Jaalam Hill added 18 points for the Vikings in that game, combining for five assists and nine rebounds.
Over on the Wright State side, they’re 16-11 this year. The Raiders are currently riding a four-game win streak, taking out IUPUI, Oakland, Detroit and Northern Kentucky in that span.
In the win over the Norse, Wright State’s Billy Wampler was the team’s top scorer on 29 points with three rebounds. Loudon Love was the only other Raiders player in double-figures there with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Vikings are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 versus the Horizon League and 1-4 ATS in the last five after a straight-up win. Cleveland State is 1-5 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. Wright State is 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the Horizon League and 1-6 ATS in their last seven Thursday games.
Cleveland State has had a pretty good three-game run, putting up at least 77 points in each of those outings. The Vikings really need to get going on the scoreboard in their wins, as the team is pretty permissive on defense.
Wright State won on the road 89-66 the last time these teams played, so I don’t have much doubt the Raiders will come out on top here, but I’m going to trust the Vikings enough to cover and play comparatively better this time.
