The Youngstown State Penguins host the Detroit Titans in Horizon League college basketball.

The Detroit Titans head in to conference play on six game slide following a 69-55 loss to Xavier as a 19 point underdog. Detroit was down only six at the intermission before fading late with only 32.4% shooting and a 17-5 deficit at the stripe negating 18 extra looks at the basket.

Antoine Davis carried the Titans offense with 19 points and four pulls on 8-24 from the floor including 3-13 from distance while Derrien King adding 13 points and eight rebounds on 4-10 shooting. Josh McFolley gave Detroit nine points, six helpers and four steals followed by Gerald Blackshear Jr. with eight points and six rebounds.

The Youngstown State Penguins begin conference action with losses in five of six after a 75-56 defeat at Ohio State as a 26 point underdog. Youngstown State led 25-23 heading to the locker room before the buckeyes dominated the second half behind a 46.4%-36.4% shooting edge and ten more makes at the line.

Darius Quisenberrry was the top Penguins offensive weapon with 17 points and four assists on 6-12 accuracy and 5-7 at the line. Naz Bohannon gave Youngstown State eleven points on 4-11 including 3-3 from distance followed by a ten point effort from Jelani Simmons.
