Wyoming Cowboys (0-5) at Air Force Falcons (2-2)
|Date & Time||Saturday October 10, 2015, 10:15 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Air Force Falcons -24 -- Over/Under:
Falcon Stadium and the Air Force Falcons play host to MWC foe the Wyoming Cowboys.
The Wyoming Cowboys have generally struggled for consistency on both sides of the ball and the result has been an 0-5 start capped off by a 31-13 defeat at Appalachian State. App State were outgained 373-314 but Wyoming was victimized by three turnovers including a 91 yard pick six so the boxscore reveals a game that was closer then we might think. Cameron Coffman gave the Cowboys 155 passing yards with a touchdown and interception on 14-19 with Tanner Gentry snagging three balls for 77 yards. Brian Hill gave Wyoming a monster performance on the ground with 208 yards on 30 carries including a TD but mistakes cost the team in the end.
The Air Force Falcons are probably a bit of an unknown at this point but that’s because the team is leaning on some new faces after a banner season in 2014. Navy handed the Falcons a 33-11 setback in week five that evened their record at 2-2. AFA trailed 387-277 in yardage with three lost fumbles and a pick hurting them further. Quarterback Karson Roberts threw for 73 yards and an interception on 5-12 but that wasn’t enough to boost a struggling Air Force rushing attack that saw Garrett Brown lead the run with 45 yards on nine touches while recording three receptions for 64 yards. The bottom line is Air Force struggles to score if they have trouble running the ball.
The Cowboys are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 conference games and the over is 5-0 in Cowboys last 5 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game while the under is 5-0 in Cowboys last 5 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. The Falcons are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and the under is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game while Air Force are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on grass. The Cowboys are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings while Wyoming are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Air Force. I can’t see Wyoming winning but I can’t give away all the points…
