After the loss, Akron is now 0-11 on the season and is 0-7 in conference play which places the Zips in last place in the MAC-East Division and last place overall in the MAC.  Zips quarterback Kato Nelson has thrown for 1,812 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on the year. Running back Brandon Lee has been Akron’s leading rusher as he has carried the ball 61 times for 179 yards but hasn’t scored a touchdown yet this year.  The most productive Zips receiver on the year has been Nate Stewart who has hauled in 37 passes for 529 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season.

Ohio is scoring 33.1 points per game this season while allowing 29.2 points per game. Ohio is gaining 428.8 yards per game while allowing 431.3 yards per game.  Akron has scored 11.2 points per game while allowing 34.8 points per game.  Akron has averaged gaining 257.5 yards per game while allowing 396.7 yards per game.  Although Akron played Miami (OH) well last week, I don’t see the Zips playing that well 2 weeks in a row and I believe Ohio leaves this math up with the win.  Bobcats win 41-21 but Akron beats the spread.
