The Cal Poly Mustangs and Arizona State Sun Devils meet Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
The Cal Poly Mustangs are coming off a 20-19 victory over Montana. Chris Brown is completing 33.3 percent of his passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Brown has thrown a touchdown in 11 straight games. Roland Jackson Jr and Jordan Hines have combined for more than 50 receiving yards and a touchdown while Dj Peluso has a touchdown. The Cal Poly Mustangs ground game is averaging 330 yards per contest, and Brown leads the way with 130 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Cal Poly is allowing 19 points and 459 yards per game. Tu'Uta Inoke leads the Mustangs with 16 tackles, Logan Mayes has a sack and B.J. Nard has three interceptions.
The Arizona State Sun Devils looks to rebound from a 38-17 loss to Texas A&M. Mike Bercovici is completing 61 percent of his passes for 199 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Bercovici now has 13 passing touchdowns in his last two seasons for ASU. Ellis Jefferson and D.J. Foster have combined for more than 110 receiving yards while Demario Richard has four receptions. The Arizona State Sun Devils ground game is averaging 92 yards per contest, and Richard leads the way with 73 yards on 16 carries. Defensively, Arizona State is allowing 38 points and 425 yards per game. Armand Perry leads the Sun Devils with 11 tackles, Viliami Ami Latu has a sack and Kweishi Brown has an interception. Jalen Harvey is questionable with a collarbone injury.
Arizona State would love nothing more than to bounce back with a blowout victory after really stinking up the joint in the opening week. Cal Poly is a one one-dimensional team that hasn't seen a team nearly as talented as ASU in quite some time.
I expect a big time blowout here from the Sun Devils.
