The Line: Arkansas Razorbacks -- Over/Under:
The Alcorn State Braves and Arkansas Razorbacks square off Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium.
The Alcorn State Braves could use a massive road game upset in order to get back to a .500 record. Noah Johnson is completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 482 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Johnson has to continue taking care of the football in order for the Braves to compete in this game. Jaborian McKenzie and Norlando Veals have combined for 361 receiving yards and two touchdowns while De'Lance Turner has nine receptions. The Alcorn State Braves ground game is averaging 189.6 yards per contest, and Arron Baker leads the way with 176 yards on 25 carries. Defensively, Alcorn State is allowing 35.3 points and 458.7 yards per game. Darien Anderson leads the Braves with 30 tackles, Trae Ferrell has two sacks and Eric Foster has three pass deflections.
The Arkansas Razorbacks hope to bounce back from a tough performance last week against Texas A&M. Austin Allen is completing 66.9 percent of his passes for 1,026 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions. Allen has two or more touchdown passes in every game this season. Keon Hatcher and Drew Morgan have combined for 535 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Jared Cornelius has 10 receptions. The Arkansas Razorbacks ground game is averaging 158 yards per contest, and Rawleigh Williams III leads the way with 433 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Arkansas is allowing 26.5 points and 389.8 yards per game. Dre Greenlaw leads the Razorbacks with 32 tackles, Jeremiah Ledbetter has 2.5 sacks and Brooks Ellis has one interception.
Arkansas is obviously a much better team than we saw last week and will be eager to get back on track before its big date with Alabama. Alcorn State doesn't see big, physical teams such as the Razorbacks often and this is a club that lost 69-6 to Georgia Tech last season. No line at the time this article was posted, so the points may be worth a look anyway simply with this being a look ahead game for the home team.
However, I still like Arkansas to win by three or four touchdowns. The Braves will be overwhelmed in the trenches.
