The Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas Longhorns play Monday night in the Texas Bowl at NRG Stadium.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have split their last six games and are playing in their first bowl since 2011. Brandon Allen is completing 56.3 percent of his passes for 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. Allen has three touchdowns and zero picks in his last two games, and Arkansas has 17 passing plays of 25 or more yards. Keon Hatcher and Hunter Henry have combined for more than 1,000 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Jared Cornelius has three reception in his last two games. Arkansas’ ground game is averaging 5.2 yards per carry, as Jonathan Williams leads the way with 1,085 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Martrell Spaight leads Arkansas with 123 tackles and Trey Flowers has 13.5 tackles for loss.

The Texas Longhorns have won three of their last four games and are playing in their fourth straight bowl. Tyrone Swoopes is completing 58.8 percent of his passes for 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Swoopes has three touchdowns and four picks in his last two games, and Texas has 22 passing plays of 25 or more yards. John Harris and Jaxon Shipley have combined for more than 1,500 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Armanti Foreman has a touchdown in back-to-back games. Texas’ ground game is averaging 3.9 yards per carry, as Malcolm Brown leads the way with 683 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, the Texas Longhorns are allowing 23.3 points, 348.3 yards, and they’ve forced 39 sacks and 22 turnovers. Jordan Hicks leads Texas with 104 tackles and Malcom Brown has 12.5 tackles for loss.

The Razorbacks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 bowl games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Longhorns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in December.

Arkansas is a team that's playing with an edge, as the Razorbacks think they're building something special and will be able to compete in the SEC next season. Texas is still a question mark and the Longhorns offense can go many drives without putting points on the board. I like the Arkansas Razorbacks to win and cover this number.
