Chuck Wade also added 5 catches for 82 yards. Turnovers were the deciding factor as Wake Forest turned the ball over 3 times. Wake forest’s defense didn’t play that bad they only allowed 370 total yards.
Army has lost 2 consecutive games now their last coming against UCONN 22-17. Quarterback A.J. Schurr was only 2/5 for 80 yards and 1 touchdown. Army’s leading rusher was Ahmad Bradshaw with 16 carries for 129 yards and 1 touchdown. Army’s leading receiver was Joe Walker had 1 catch for 71 yards and a touchdown. Army’s defense will need to improve as they allowed 415 total yards and 23 first downs. Army will try to bounce back and get their first win this Saturday at home vs. Wake Forest.
Wake Forest is 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 games vs. independent teams. Wake Forest is also 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 games in September and their last 5 games on field turf. Army is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games in September. Army is also is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games vs. ACC opponents.
Both of these teams are looking for wins after losing their last games. I think Wake Forest is the better team here and should play like it this weekend. Take Wake Forest to cover this small spread.
