CFB | Lafayette Leopards (0-0) at Army Black Knights (7-2)
Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

The Army Black Knights host the Lafayette Leopards in an FBS-FCS college football matchup.

The Lafayette Leopards bid for a third consecutive win came to an abrupt end in a 40-14 loss to visiting Holy Cross. Lafayette was outgained 431-239 and committed the only turnover of the game.

Leopards quarterback Sean O’Malley completed 23-41 for 156 yards and an interception as the passing game did nothing to stretch the field.

CJ Amill was the top Lafayette runner with 65 yards and a touchdown on nine carries while catching two passes for eleven yards. Steven Stillanos and Nick Pearson led the Leopards receiving corps with a combined nine receptions for 64 yards with Pearson scoring on a short run.

The Army Black Knights stayed on a roll with their 11th straight victory at Michie Stadium following a 17-14 win against visiting Air Force. Army took a 14-0 lead in to the second half before holding off a late Falcons rally.

Black Knights quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. connected on 3-5 for 44 yards while running 19 times for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Darnell Woolfolk led the Black Knights rushing attack with 117 yards and score on 21 carries but Air Force generally contained the option otherwise. Jordan Asbury caught two passes for the Black Knights for 35 yards in a seldom used passing game.

Army can name the score and take down the over themselves...

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
