The Miami (OH) Redhawks go on the road to face the option of the Army Black Knights in Saturday college football.
The Miami (OH) Redhawks began the year with three losses but have since won three of four after downing Kent State 31-6 in week seven. Miami (OH) flexed their muscle on both sides of the ball with a 504-274 edge in yards with 39 minutes of possession.
The Redhawks were efficient through the air with quarterback Gus Ragland connecting on 16-24 for 209 yards and a touchdown while running seven times for 22 yards and a score.
Kenny Young was the top Miami (OH) runner with 90 yards on ten touches and a TD while catching three balls for 47 yards. Jalon Bester added 51 yards and a TD on eight totes with Davion Johnson and Alonzo Smith giving a productive Redhawks rushing attack a combined 104 yards on eleven totes.
The Army Black Knights have enjoyed a strong season thus far with consecutive wins following a 52-3 rout of San Jose State that raised their record to 4-2. Army won the yardage battle 395-171 with 37+ minutes of possession with four fumble recoveries including one in the end zone for a score.
The Black Knights saw quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. hit on 2-5 for 54 yards and a TD while leading the rushing attack with 99 yards on 18 attempts with three touchdowns. Cam Thomas gave Army 74 rushing yards with a trip to the end zone while Jordan Asbury caught a 41 yard scoring pass.
