Auburn may have the hardest second half of the season schedule in the nation. The Tigers have lost three of the last five games, and all of those losses were to top-10 teams. The Tigers have a date with Alabama in two weeks in the Iron Bowl that will have national implications. First, however, Auburn hosts a 5-6 Samford team.  Samford won its last game ending a two-game skid.

Auburn is led by Bo Nix, who has passed for 2043 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Nix also as 250 yards rushing and six more touchdowns. JaTarvious Whitlow has 567 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Two more have around 300 yards each. Seth Williams has 690 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.

The Tigers are averaging 30.9 points and holding opponents to 18.3. Auburn has four interceptions and 13 fumble recovery, as well as 24 sacks.

Samford has beaten two ranked teams at the FCS level this season. Chris Oladokun has passed for 2041 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He is also the team's leading rusher with 622 yards and eight touchdowns. Jay Stanton has 600 yards rushing and six touchdowns to go with a 6.1 yards per carry average.  Robert Adams has 515 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

Liam Welch went most of the way at quarterback in the last game for Samford. He passed for 115 yards and one touchdown.  Welch ran for 105 yards in that game.

These teams have met twice before at Auburn, with Auburn winning by at least 23 points in each one.

Samford would like to think they have a chance to win this game, but the Bulldogs are simply outmatched on all levels in this game. Auburn has a great offense and a strong defense that will contain Samford rather easily. Look for Auburn to win this game and blow it open quickly. Final Score Prediction, Auburn Tigers win 42-10.
