CFB | Kansas State Wildcats (5-4) at Baylor Bears (6-3)

The Kansas State Wildcats and Baylor Bears square off Saturday afternoon in a Big 12 college football game at McLane Stadium on ESPN2.

The Kansas State Wildcats look for a win after splitting their last six games that would make them bowl eligible. The Kansas State Wildcats have lost six of their last eight road games. Jesse Ertz is completing 56.8 percent of his passes for 1,165 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Ertz has one or less touchdown pass in his last six games. Dominique Heath and Deante Burton have combined for 703 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Byron Pringle has 20 receptions. The Kansas State Wildcats ground game is averaging 208.8 yards per contest, and Ertz leads the way with 630 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Kansas State is allowing 24 points and 392.8 yards per game. Elijah Lee leads the Kansas State Wildcats with 77 tackles, Jordan Willis has nine sacks and D.J. Reed has three interceptions.

The Baylor Bears could use a bounce back victory that would snap a three-game losing streak. The Baylor Bears have lost three home games since the 2013 season. Zach Smith is completing 45.7 percent of his passes for 272 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Smith will remain the starter due to Seth Russell breaking his leg. KD Cannon and Ishmael Zamora have combined for 1,162 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Blake Lynch has 28 receptions. The Baylor Bears ground game is averaging 271.1 yards per contest, and Terence Williams leads the way with 708 yards and eight touchdowns. Defensively, Baylor is allowing 27.2 points and 412.3 yards per game. Aiavion Edwards leads the Baylor Bears with 70 tackles, Taylor Young has 4.5 sacks and Orion Stewart has five interceptions.

The Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Bears are 29-12 ATS in their last 41 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the home team is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Even without Russell, Baylor is still a talented team and probably better than Kansas State in terms of raw talent. That's why I'm taking the Baylor Bears at home here. Kansas State still has issues offensively and nothing comes easy for the Wildcats despite how well coached they are. Expect Baylor to rely on its ground game and grind out a victory on senior day. Also, Baylor doesn't lose often at home. I'll take the Bears here.
