The Line: Baylor Bears -9.5 -- Over/Under:
The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Baylor Bears clash early Saturday night at McLane Stadium on FOX.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys look for their second win over a ranked team since last year when they take the road for the first time. Mason Rudolph is completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 1,017 yards, six touchdowns and one interception. Rudolph has two or more touchdown passes in four of his last six games. James Washington and Jhajuan Seales have combined for 623 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Jalen McCleskey has 18 receptions. The Oklahoma State Cowboys ground game is averaging 98 yards per contest, and Rennie Childs leads the way with 123 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Oklahoma State is allowing 25 points and 382.7 yards per game. Jordan Burton leads the Cowboys with 20 tackles, Jarrell Owens has two sacks and Ramon Richards has two interceptions.
The Baylor Bears look to remain undefeated and win their fifth straight game overall. Seth Russell is completing 59 percent of his passes for 761 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Russell has 38 touchdown passes in his last 10 games. KD Cannon and Blake Lynch have combined for 504 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Chris Platt has nine receptions. The Baylor Bears ground game is averaging 282 yards per contest, and JaMycal Hasty leads the way with 237 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Baylor is allowing 10 points and 249.3 yards per game. Patrick Levels leads the Bears with 22 tackles, K.J. Smith has 1.5 sacks and Orion Stewart has two interceptions.
The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September and 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Bears are 27-11 ATS in their last 38 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Cowboys are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
Both of these clubs can score points in bunches and the winner has scored at least 41 points in each of the last six meetings. However, Baylor has looked far more consistent on both sides of the ball and did beat Oklahoma State by 10 points on the road last season. Not to mention the Bears had extra time to prepare considering they played last Thursday. I like OK State as a team overall, but Baylor by double digits is more than doable.
