The San Diego State Aztecs and the Boise State Broncos match up at Albertsons Stadium in week 12.
The San Diego State Aztecs are trying to secure a Bowl invitation and have been getting the job done lately with wins in three of four with Boise State up next. The Aztecs are hoping to build on a 35-21 decision over visiting Idaho in week 12 in a game that was 14-14 heading to the break before the Aztecs found their stride in the final 30 minutes. The Vandals were able to run for almost 200 yards but for the most part had trouble stretching the field. SDSU totaled 405 yards with some quality balance with Donnell Pumphrey totaling 142 yards on the ground on 26 touches wih a five yard score. QuinnKaehler did the majority of the damage in the air by connecting on 14-22 for 349 yards with three touchdowns and no picks with Eric Judge leading the receiving corps with four catches for 107 yards including a 58 yard score.
The Boise State Broncos have been winning but sometimes they haven't looked all that impressive with mistakes and defensive breakdowns. The Broncos are riding s four game winning streak following a 60-49 shootout victory at New Mexico who led 42-35 at the half. Boise held a 674-627 edge in yards and were completely balanced while the Lobos ran for over 500 yards and threw for a season high 122 yards. Of course the Broncos did what they wanted, when they wanted with Jay Ajayi running for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Grant Hedrick adding 131 yards and two more trips to the endzone while throwing for 367 yards and four touchdowns with Thomas Sperbeck grabbing nine balls for 164 yards.
The under is 9-0 in Aztecs last 9 games overall and is 5-0 in Aztecs last 5 conference games while going 5-0 in Aztecs last 5 road games. For Boise State the over is 4-0 in Broncos last 4 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and is 4-0 in Broncos last 4 games overall while the Broncos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. If Boise State plays as capable they have the potential to win big although this isn't the dependable Broncos squad of year's past...
