The Line: Bowling Green Falcons -8 -- Over/Under:
The Ball State Cardinals pay a visit to Doyt L. Perry Stadium to face the Bowling Green Falcons.
The Ball State Cardinals long season ends with a trip to Bowling Green with the Cardinals hoping to close the year with consecutive victories. The Cardinals are coming in off of their highest scoring game of the season in a 45-30 victory over visiting Eastern Michigan. The Eagles led in yardage 503-440 but lost a pair of fumbles with one recovered by Ball State for a touchdown. The Eagles were strong in the air with Reginald Bell Jr. throwing for over 400 yards while Ball stayed mostly on the ground Jahwan Edwards paced the rushing attack with 131 yards and a score while quarterback Jack Milas totaled 57 yards and a TD while throwing for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ozzie Man came on to throw for another 48 yards and a TD as the Cardinals played mistake free football.
Win or lose the Bowling Green Falcons enter the final game of the regular season assured of winning the MAC East. The Falcons saw a two game winning streak end in a 27-20 defeat at Toledo as a seven point underdog in week 13. This was tight all the way with the Rockets scoring in the 4th to snap a 20-20 tie although Toledo led the in yardage handily by a 388-271 margin with 326 yards coming on the ground. On the flip side the Falcons did not excel at much but played error free while recovering a fumple and intercepting a pair of passes to stay competitive. Ronnie Moore was the most productive runner with 64 yards on 12 totes and a ten yard TD while Andre Givens needed 19 carries to gain 55 yards. James Knapke completed 7-24 for 71 yards before Cody Callaway took over and threw for 96 yards and a touchdown.
The Cardinals are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in November while the under is 6-1 in Cardinals last 7 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game. For Bowling Green the under is 6-0 in Falcons last 6 games on fieldturf and is 6-0 in Falcons last 6 games overall while going 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games in November. I think this is a game Bowling Green wants to play well in because they were completely dominated by Toledo and they need a confidence boost here...
