The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Bowling Green Falcons will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Louisiana Tech has a 1-1 record so far. The Bulldogs lost to Texas 45-14 in the opener, but then got a win over Grambling State this past weekend 20-14.
In the victory, LA Tech QB J’Mar Smith had 220 yards with a TD, and Israel Tucker had 71 yards on 16 carries. Griffin Herbert led the Bulldogs receivers with his 68 yards and TD from three grabs.
Over on the Bowling Green side, they’re 1-1 as well this season after a 46-3 blowout of Morgan State and a 52-0 drubbing at the hands of Kansas State.
In the Week 2 loss, Bowling Green QB Darius Wade had 79 yards passing and Davon Jones led the rush with 47 yards. Rodell Rahmaan was the top Falcons receiver with 34 yards on one catch.
The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in the last four versus the MAC and 6-2 ATS in their last eight after an ATS loss. Louisiana Tech is also 6-2 ATS in their last eight in September and 8-3 in their last 11 on the road.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 after an ATS loss and 8-21 ATS in their last 29 home games. Bowling Green is 4-17 ATS in their last 21 in September and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games.
Louisiana Tech got a tough draw in their opener but looked better against Grambling State, which is a better comparative matchup. I’m not quite sure what to think of Bowling Green right now thanks to their mixed bag so I’m going to stick with the Bulldogs here.
