CFB | Bryant (1-2) vs. Central Connecticut (1-2)

The Central Connecticut Blue Devils and Bryant Bulldogs meet Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium on ESPN3.

The Central Connecticut Blue Devils look for back-to-back victories to get back to a .500 record. Jacob Dolegala is completing 61.5 percent of his passes for 603 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. Dolegala must take better care of the football on the road for this team to have a chance. Dan Hebert and Cameron Nash have combined for 193 receiving yards on 22 catches while K.J. Smith has eight receptions. The Central Connecticut Blue Devils ground game is averaging 133.3 yards per contest, and Nash leads the way with 184 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Central Connecticut is allowing 38.3 points and 428.7 yards per game. Randall Laguerre leads the Blue Devils with 31 tackles, Keir Minor has 1.5 sacks and Najae Brown has one interception.

The Bryant Bulldogs are in need of a big home win to help snap a two-game skid. Dalton Easton is completing 55.6 percent of his passes for 866 yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions. Easton must also make better decisions with the football for Bryant to get back on track. Taylor Barthelette and Matt Sewall have combined for 499 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Aaron Aryee has six receptions. The Bryant Bulldogs ground game is averaging 122.3 yards per contest, and Brenden Femiano leads the way with 141 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Bryant is allowing 27.3 points and 351.3 yards per game. Patrick Kenney leads the Bulldogs with 18 tackles, Thomas Costigan has two sacks and Raamah Vaughn has one interception.

Bryant nearly beat Central Connecticut on the road last season and beat the hell out of them back in 2014 when they met at Bulldog Stadium. The Blue Devils have just struggled big time defensively and could have a hard time slowing down the Bulldogs passing game. The Bulldogs have been far more the consistent team at this point in the season. Not to mention this is the homecoming for Bryant, so you can expect a big crowd and a team ready to put on a show.

I like the Bulldogs to win this game in comfortable fashion.
