Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange and the Clemson Tigers will match up in a nationally-televised college football game on Saturday from Clemson Memorial Stadium.

Syracuse rolls into this one with a nice 4-0 record so far. The Orange have posted wins over Western Michigan 55-42, Wagner 62-10, Florida State 30-7 and Connecticut 51-21 this past Saturday.

In the UConn game, Syracuse QB Eric Dungey logged 286 yards with two touchdowns (and three more on the ground alongside 77 rush yards), and Sean Riley led the charge receiving with six grabs for 120 yards and a score. Moe Neal was the top Syracuse rusher on 13 carries for 116 yards.

Over on the Clemson side, they’re 4-0 as well. The Tigers have so far taken out Furman 48-7, Texas A&M 28-26, GA Southern 38-7 and conference opponent Georgia Tech 49-21 in their last appearance.

In the GT game, Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence bagged 176 yards with four TDs and one pick, with Amari Rodgers getting most of the work on six catches for 60 yards. Travis Etienne led the Tigers’ rush with 122 yards and a score off 11 carries.

The Orange are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall and 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games. Syracuse is 5-0-1 ATS in their last six in September and 7-3 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. Clemson is 2-5-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record and the under is 4-0 in their last four home games.

Syracuse has hit the ground running so far this year, plowing through lesser competition with relative ease. Things will start tightening up as they run through the ACC gauntlet however, and it all starts with a daunting Clemson opponent.

Speaking of Clemson, this may be their toughest test yet—and that includes the Texas A&M scare. The Tigers have a big advantage playing at home in this one, but I still think Syracuse can hang around and cover the gap here. Regardless, it should be a really fun game to watch.
