The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks take the field at the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in a Saturday college football tilt.

The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks have endured a tough stretch of games after a 70-21 defeat at Mississippi left the team staring at a four game slide. Louisiana-Monroe was outgained 826-427 with no answers on ether side of the line of scrimmage.

Warhawks quarterback Caleb Evans  completed 17-28 for 206 yards with Colby Suits going 6-10 for 91 yards and a touchdown while Evans ran for 37 yards on 13 totes.

Derrick Gore was the Warhawks top rusher with 52 yards on ten carries with a trip to the end zone. RJ Turner paced the UL Monroe receivers with five receptions for 112 yards while Marcus Green supplied a 71 yard punt return.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers entered their bye week on a 45-21 defeat at Troy as a two touchdown road dog that snapped a three game winning streak. Coastal Carolina came up short in the yardage department 467-317 despite 40+ minutes of possession.

Quarterback Bryce Carpenter gave the Chanticleers an efficient albeit short passing attack as he went 18-22 for 172 yards  with a touchdown and interception while totaling 24 rushing yards on 18 carries.

Marcus Outlow gave Coastal Carolina 71 rushing yards on 19 touches with a score while Torrance Marable ran for 46 yards and a TD on eleven carries. Malcolm Williams topped the Chanticleers six receptions for 64 yards while Shadell Bell caught a ten yard scoring toss.

Kilton Anderson might be out at quarterback for the Chanticleers so be careful with this one…
