The Toledo Rockets visit Rynearson Stadium to take the field with the Eastern Michigan Eagles in week six action.
The Toledo Rockets saw their unbeaten season come to an end in a 55-53 loss at Brigham Young when the Cougars nailed a 19 yard field goal with no time left. The Rockets allowed 586 yards and amassed nearly 700 yards with a pair of giveaways as neither team played any defense to speak of. Rockets quarterback was prolific as he connected on 30-38 for 505 yards and five touchdowns with a pair of interceptions which hurt. Jon’Vea Johnson led Toledo with nine receptions for 182 yards and three score while Cody Thompson logged five catches for 161 yards and a TD. Kareem Hunt paced the Rockets with 146 yards on 27 touches and a seven yard scoring run but the defense could not buy a stop.
If you follow the MAC or are fan of the Eastern Michigan Eagles, you are well aware this team has no history of winning football. Having said that, a 28-25 victory at Bowling Green has the team sitting at 4-1 which is a big deal. EMU led in yardage 478-456 with the ability to run and throw and a pair of giveaways. Todd Porter started under center for the Eagles and went 11-16 for 107 yards with an interception before Brogan Roback came in and hit 9-13 for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Nigel Kilby led Eastern Michigan with five receptions for 92 yards and a score with Sergio Bailey catching four passes for 71 yards and another score. Breck Turner gave the Eagles a viable rushing attack with 107 yards and a touchdown on 17 touches.

Toledo wins because simply put they are much better and will win easily but for now I’ll take the points while waiting for the total…
