The Western Michigan Broncos stayed on course for the postseason with their third consecutive win in a 35-13 victory versus visiting Miami (Ohio) for win number three in a row. The Broncos were the superior team on both sides of the ball with a 421-276 edge in yards with the Redhawks losing a pair of fumbles. Quarterback Zach Terrell and his passing paced the Broncos with 278 yards and three touchdowns on a near perfect 25-32 performance with Daniel Braverman catching 13 balls for 135 yards and two scores followed by a seven reception, 113 yard effort from Corey Davis. The Broncos were average on the ground with Jamauri Bogan leading the way with84 yards and two scores on 19 totes.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles struggled to find the end zone and get stops in a 59-21 defeat at Northern Illinois for their 7th defeat of the season. The Huskies roared to a 35-0 lead at the break before going in to cruise control. NIU racked up nearly 600 yards with the ability to both run and throw while the Eagles 376 yards was also a mix of the pass and run. Quarterback Brogan Roback completed 28-43 for 219 yards and an interception with EMU receivers Eddie Daugherty and Cody Tuttle combining for seven catches and 92 yards. Darius Jackson was the Eagles best option on the ground with 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 24 carries.
The Broncos are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game while going 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. The Eagles are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games andnd the over is 5-0 in Eagles last 5 games following a ATS loss while going 4-0 in Eagles last 4 Thursday games. The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. I believe one of the best mid major offenses in the game will put up plenty of points to cover….
