Akron struggled offensively this season, but had a defense that was able to keep them in games. Akron also has the 3rd ranked rushing defense. Akron was able to end the season on a four game winning streak, which will give them momentum coming into this bowl game. Utah State comes into this game losing three out of their last four games, as their offense hasn’t been consistent this season. The quarterback injuries that Utah State went through really hurt their offense, and I believe that this Utah State team is better than their record indicates. While Akron’s defense has been good, Utah State should be able to move the ball and put up some points. I am picking Utah State in this game.
