Western Michigan has been to bowl games before, they just haven’t walked out winners.
The Air Force Falcons finished the regular season at 9-3 but it was even better for them winning he Commander In Chief Trophy and beating Mountain West heavyweights Boise State and Colorado State. Air Force got it doe every way this season winning outright as an underdog as well as a favorite.
Western Michigan is 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 games, 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 4-0 against the spread following a loss. Air Force is 4-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games, 3-7 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five games.
I respect both teams’ defenses here but I also don’t see anyone stopping anyone so my free pick is the Over as the offenses will win out.
