Georgia Tech will try to get back on track when they host North Caolina this weekend.
Georgia Tech suffered their second loss in a row on the road against Duke last weekend 34-20. Quarterback Justin Thomas went 6/21 for 143 yards and a touchdown and 1 interception. Thomas also added 58 yards on the ground and 1 touchdown. Running back Patrick Skov recorded 19 carries for 75 yards. Wide Receiver Ricky Jeune caught 4 passes for 91 yards and 1 touchdown. Georgia Tech season is going down in a hurry and they desperately need a win this week against North Carolina.
North Carolina won their 3rd game in a row last week when they defeated Delaware 41 to 14. After quarterback Marquise Williams left the game Mitch Trubisky took over and completed 17 of his 20 passes for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns. Running back Elijah Hood carried the ball 14 times for 61 yards. Mack Hollins led the Tar Heels with 3 catches for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ryan Switzer caught 5 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown as well. Jeff Schoettmer recorded their only interception last weekend. They will have a tough test in stopping the Georgia Tech rushing attack.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 games in October. North Carolina is also 1-5 against the spread in their last 6 games following a win of 20 points or more. Georgia Tech is 6-0 against the spread in their last 66 home games. The Yellow Jackets are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games overall.
Georgia Tech is in desperate need of a win after dropping 2 in a row. I think Georgia Tech will be fired up for this game at home agaisnt North Carolina. I expect Georgia Tech to roll over North Carolina this weekend. Take the Yellow Jackets to cover at home.
