The Utah State Aggies looked to be in rough shape at the start of the season but they got it together and finished the season at 9-4. The USU offense is averaging 27.4 points and 381.2 yards per game using several QB’s because of injuries but for their final five games it has been freshman kent Myers who completed 69.2 percent of his passes with five touchdowns and two interceptions. Utah State were playing well but then were crushed in their season finale by Boise 50-19.
UTEP is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games, 4-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread, and 3-7 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Utah State is 16-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 11-4-1 against the spread following a loss, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five non-conference games.
We should see plenty of running in this one and I see that keeping the clock running and the score down so my free pick in this one is the under but it is a lean at best.
