FCS vs. FBS college football brings us a bout between the Duquesne Dukes and the Hawaii Warriors.

The Duquesne Dukes took an early lead against visiting Dayton and held on to edge the Flyers 31-26 in week three to up their record to 3-1.

The Dukes rode the passing of quarterback Daniel Parr who completed 21-27 for 333 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

Nehari Crawford topped the Duquesne receiving corps with 223 yards and a pair of scores on eleven catches while bringing back two kickoffs for 40 yards. AJ Hines was the only Dukes runner of note with 61 yards on 12 carries while Ky’ren Cunningham totaled 44 yards on 13 totes.

The Hawaii Warriors could not overcome the Army option in a 28-21 defeat as a touchdown underdog in week three. Hawaii was outgained 465-362 with less then 19 minutes of possession.

The Warriors leaned heavily on the passing of Cole McDonald and he responded by connecting on 20-32 for 321 yards and a pair of touchdowns and no interceptions.

John Ursua led Hawaii with six receptions for 123 yards and a pair of TD’s including an 80 yard scoring strike while Dayton Furuta was the top rusher with just 21 yards on three totes.

Hawaii  are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and Hawaii are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and over is 7-1 in Hawaii last 8 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.

The way a poor UMass squad scored on Duquesne has me thinking the over here but I'm still digging...

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
