The Line: Houston Cougars -1.5 -- Over/Under:
It’s a battle of top 20 teams when the #19 Navy Midshipmen travel to the #14 Houston Cougars.
The #19 Navy Midshipmen look for their 6th consecutive victory after handling Tulsa 44-21 on the road in week 12. The Midshipmen took a 23-7 lead after two quarters and never let the Golden Hurricane back in it as they rolled up over 500 yards with 450+ rushing yards. Tulsa mustered 375 yards and lost a pair of fumbles and had no rushing attack at all. Quarterback Keenan Reynolds was the focus of the Navy attack going 2-3 for 58 yards and a 39 yard touchdown strike to Jamir Tillman. Reynolds paced the Middies on the ground with 81 yards and a score on 19 totes with Toneo Gulley ripping off a 70 scoring run. Demond Brown added 61 yards on five touches with a trip to the endzone as 12 players ran the ball overall.
The Houston Cougars had been a perfect 10-0 with a trip to Connecticut looking like an 11-0 record heading in to the season finale but the Huskies were the team celebrating after a 20-17 victory. Both teams finished with around 315 yards but UH was killed by four turnovers with one of their scores coming on a 94 yard kick return by Brandon Wilson. Quarterback Greg Ward Jr. went 1-4 for 18 yards and a pick with Kyle Postma coming in to go 15-27 with a touchdown and interception. Chance Allen caught six balls for 105 yards and a TD with Postma and Kenneth Farrow supplying the Cougars with 98 rushing yards on 27 carries.
The over is 7-0 in Midshipmen last 7 games in November and the Midshipmen are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games while the over is 4-0 in Midshipmen last 4 games following a ATS win. The Cougars are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Friday games and the under is 4-0 in Cougars last 4 games in November while going 4-0 in Cougars last 4 games overall.
