The Line: Indiana Hoosiers -16 -- Over/Under:
The Purdue Boilermakers and Indiana Hoosiers clash Saturday afternoon in a Big Ten college football game at Memorial Stadium on ESPNU for the Old Oaken Bucket.
The Purdue Boilermakers look to finish the season on a high note that would snap a six-game losing streak. The Purdue Boilermakers have lost 11 of their last 12 road games. David Blough is completing 57.4 percent of his passes for 3,127 yards, 23 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Blough has two or more touchdown passes in five of his last six games. DeAngelo Yancey and Bilal Marshall have combined for 1,307 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns while Domonique Young has 29 receptions. The Purdue Boilermakers ground game is averaging 101 yards per contest, and Markell Jones leads the way with 581 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Purdue is allowing 39.4 points and 461.9 yards per game. Markus Bailey leads the Purdue Boilermakers with 89 tackles, Evan Panfil has five sacks and Josh Hayes has one interception.
The Indiana Hoosiers hope to become bowl eligible back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1990-91. The Indiana Hoosiers have lost seven of their last 10 home games. Richard Lagow is completing 60 percent of his passes for 3,057 yards, 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Lagow has one or less touchdown pass in four of his last six games. Nick Westbrook and Ricky Jones have combined for 1,624 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Mitchell Paige has 53 receptions. The Indiana Hoosiers ground game is averaging 155.4 yards per contest, and Devine Redding leads the way with 951 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Indiana is allowing 27.6 points and 382.2 yards per game. Tegray Scales leads the Indiana Hoosiers with 104 tackles, Nile Sykes has four sacks and Marcelino Ball has two interceptions.
The Boilermakers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 4-10-2 ATS in their last 16 games in November. The Hoosiers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss. The Boilermakers are 2-5-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings in Indiana and 1-3-2 ATS in their last 6 meetings overall.
This is a lot of points to lay in a rivarly game, but Purdue hasn't shown much fight since the firing of its head coach and likely won't get up for this game either. The Boilermakers are a bad football team right now and have lost the last three games against Indiana by a combined score of 133-88. With the way Indiana can put up points early and often, Purdue is in over its head once again here. Not to mention Indiana is playing for a chance to make back-to-back bowl games for the first time in nearly two decades. Give me Indiana in a Big Ten blowout.
