Dix Stadium and the Kent State Golden Flashes play host to MAC rival the Toledo Rockets Tuesday.
The Toledo Rockets look to stay a frontrunner in the MAC when thet visit Kent State in week eleven. They have won three of four after a 42-35 shootout victory over visiting Massachusetts Saturday. Neither team stopped the other with the Rockets totaling 520 yards with the Minutemen approaching 500 yards. UMass did their damage through the air with 438 yards while Toledo was able to both run and throw. Logan Woodside completed 20-34 for 225 yards with three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions while Kareem Hunt paced the ground game with 198 yards on 26 carries including a 36 yard scoring run. Terry Swanson added 97 yards on 18 touches with another two touchdowns as their balance proved to be a winning combination.
The Kent State Golden Flashes are hoping to get a win over the high powered Toledo Rockets as they come off their bye week. The Golden Flashes have had an extra week to work out the kinks of their offensive performancein a 10-3 loss to the improved Miami (Ohio) Redhawks. Neither team was able to generate alot offensively with both finishing with around 280 yards and a combined 33 first downs. The Golden Flashes were very one dimensional with Nick Holley and his 48 yards on eleven touches leading the ground attack. Thay meant a heavy reliance on Colin Reardon and the passing attack which was moderately successful. Reardon connected on 21-39 for 201 yards and an interception with seven players making receptions. Kent State moved the ball through the air but couldn't find the endzone.
The Rockets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record while going 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. For Kent State the under is 3-0-1 in Golden Flashes last 4 conference games and is 3-0-1 in Golden Flashes last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game while the Golden Flashes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. I don't like laying double digits on the road so this is more of me liking the potential of the Rockets...
