CUSA college football pits the UAB Blazers at the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in week six.
The UAB Blazers have won back to back games following a 28-7 victory against Charlotte as a 15.5 point home favorite. UAB held a 21-0 lead at the half and never looked back behind a 330-263 yardage edge and 2-0 advantage in turnovers.
AJ Erdely was accurate and efficient through the air for the Blazers as he connected on 13-16 for 214 yards and a touchdown while running for 21 yards and another score on ten totes.
Spencer Brown led Alabama-Birmingham on the ground with 68 yards on 18 carries and a pair of trips to the end zone while Andre Wilson recorded two receptions including a 35 yard scoring catch.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs rebounded from a loss at LSU to upset North Texas 29-27 as a touchdown road dog. Louisiana Tech lost the yardage battle 427-359 but played mistake free football while recovering a pair of fumbles.
Bulldogs signal caller J’mar Smith connected on 20-39 for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns and carried the football six times for a yard.
Israel Tucker gave La Tech valuable production on the ground with 95 yard on 15 touches while Rashid Bonnette recorded five receptions for 101 yards. Adrian Hardy led all Louisiana Tech receivers with seven catches for 75 yards and a TD.
