The UL Monroe Warhawks (5 - 6, 4 - 3 CONF) draw a tough road matchup this week as they face the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (9 - 2, 6 - 1 CONF). Louisiana will be hosting this game at the Cajun Field in Lafayette, LA. UL Monroe comes into this game having won two out of their past three games. UL Monroe will be heavily favored in what could be the quickest blowout of the slate. Still, UL Monroe will try to play spoiler in this game.

Louisiana will be taking the field with a team that knows how to fill the box score with points. Louisiana is scoring 40 PPG on offense this season while collecting nearly 500 yards of total offense every outing. Louisiana is paced by the play of their elite QB, Levi Lewis (2,180 yards, 17 TD, 3 INT) but he has been helped by the run game. Louisiana is surrendering just 17 PPG to opposing squads.

UL Monroe will likely be overmatched on both sides of the ball in this game. UL Monroe is still solid on offense thanks to QB Caleb Evans (2,609 yards, 19 TDs, 9 INT) so he will need a huge outing. Evans and the Warhawk offense is currently averaging 32 PPG, and they can move the ball on the ground, too. Big Josh Johns (1,189 yards, 11 TDs) rumbles in the open field, and he could be the difference if UL Monroe manages to keep this close.

While the Warhawks would like to be able to compete in this game, the chances are very slim. The Warhawks defense will be torn to shreds by a Ragin’ Cajuns offense that has been difficult for almost any team to slow down. We like Louisiana to blow out UL Monroe in this game. Final Score Prediction Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns win and  cover 47 - 24.
