CFB | Eastern Michigan Eagles (1-3) at LSU Tigers (3-0)

The LSU Tigers and the Eastern Michigan Eagles face off on Saturday in Baton Rouge in a college football action.

The LSU Tigers are unbeaten this season as they have rode the running game and the defense to three wins. The LSU offense is averaging 33.3 points and 415.7 yards per game and they have turned the ball over three times. LSU QB Brandon Harris has completed 61.7 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and no interceptions and he has rushed for 117 yards and touchdowns. LSU’s top rusher and best player has been Leonard Fournette who has rushed for 631 yards and eight touchdowns and Travin Dural has nine catches and Malachi Dupre has seven catches. LSU’s defense is allowing 21.3 points and 3-6.3 yards per game with two interceptions, nine sacks, and a fumble recovery. Deion Jones leads LSU with 25 tackles, Kendell Beckwith has 20 tackles, and Tre’Davious White has 16 tackles. LSU has played just three games so far but no one has stopped Fournette.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles are off to a 1-3 start to the season with their lone win coming on the road at Wyoming. The Eastern Michigan offense is averaging 33 points and 423 yards per game and they have turned the ball over five times. EMU QB Brogan Roback has completed 57.5 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Darius Jackson leads the Eagles ground attack with 266 yards and five touchdowns as well as 10 receptions and Kris Strange is the leading receiver with 12 receptions. The EMU defense is allowing 31.7 points and 449 yards per game with five sacks and two fumble recoveries. Great Ibe leads EMU with 30 tackles, Anthony Zappone has 27 tackles, and Ikie Calderon has 20 tackles. Eastern Michigan gives up yards in bunches on the ground and that could put them in big trouble this week.

LSU is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games, 4-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 1-5 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Eastern Michigan is 17-36 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 road games, and 1-5 against the spread against the SEC.

This is a big mismatch but I am not ready to lay better than six touchdowns so I will be staying away but if I were to play it I would be on EMU with the points.
