The Maryland Terrapins look for their first home win of the season while rebounding from a horrible loss last week to the Temple Owls. The Golden Gophers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September, 1-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Terrapins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games. The over is 11-5 in Terrapins last 16 games overall and the under is 4-1 in Golden Gophers last 5 games overall.
I'm not laying chalk with Maryland, who were just dominated by Temple as 15-point favorites. The Minnesota Golden Gophers have been very solid defensively and have a physical running game that can control the tempo on the road. We have yet to see Minnesota on the road this season, but overall, the Golden Gophers are the better team. I usually always take free points with the better team whenever I can, however, this pick has more to do with not liking Maryland after what I saw last week.
