The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Miami Hurricanes will meet up on the college football gridiron Saturday.
Central Michigan enters this one at 2-1 overall on the year. The Chippewas fell to Wisconsin 61-0 in Week 2 but otherwise took out Albany 38-21 and Akron 45-24.
In the win over the Zips, Central Michigan QB David Moore logged 316 yards and two touchdowns. Kobe Lewis added 146 rush yards with three TDs and Kalil Pimpleton had 116 yards and a TD on seven receptions.
Over on the Miami side, they’re 1-2 this year. The Hurricanes opened up with losses 24-20 to Florida and 28-25 to UNC, but blew out Bethune-Cookman 63-0 in their last game.
The Hurricanes’ Jarren Williams tossed for 254 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the Wildcats, while DeeJay Dallas had 108 yards and three rush scores. Mark pope added 92 receiving yards for Miami there.
The Chippewas are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in September and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win. Central Michigan is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, Miami is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 in September and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 on grass. The Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 2-8 ATS versus a team with a winning record.
Outside of a tough matchup against Wisconsin, the Chippewas have done well in their other two matchups, posting a total of 83 points in those wins. The line here seems just about right, but I think Central Michigan has enough power to eke into a cover—this is a sketchy one though.
