The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are set to visit Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida for an ACC clash against the Miami Hurricanes. The Georgia Yellow Jackets come into this matchup with a 1-5 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Duke Blue Devils, 41-23. QB James Graham struggled to find a rhythm through the air as he connected on 15 of his 35 pass attempts for 206 yards and a TD. RB Jordan Mason had a productive game on the ground for the Yellow Jackets as he ran for 106 yards on 18 carries.
The Georgia Yellow Jackets struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Duke Blue Devils as they allowed them to score 41 points and rack up a total of 373 yards of offense. Sophomore LB Quez Jackson led the way for the Georgia Tech defense with 9 tackles. Junior LB Bruce Jordan-Swilling was able to get into the Duke backfield a handful of times as he contributed 6 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks.
The Miami Hurricanes come into this matchup with a 3-3 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Virginia Cavaliers, 17-9. QB N’Kosi Perry had a solid all-around game for the Hurricanes as he connected on 16 of his 27 pass attempts for 182 yards and a TD while also adding in a rushing TD. RB DeeJay Dallas was the leading rusher for Miami as he ran for 63 yards on 13 carries.
The Miami Hurricanes were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the Virginia Cavaliers as they held them to 9 points while forcing a crucial turnover. Senior LB Romeo Finley led the way for the Miami defense with 8 tackles. Freshman DL Gregory Rousseau was able to get into the Virginia backfield a handful of times as he contributed 7 tackles, 2 TFL, and 1 pass deflection. The Miami Hurricanes were able to total 7 TFL and 5 sacks as a team.
The Miami Hurricanes revitalized the brand of football that they like to live by as they played amazing defense against a Virginia offense who has been solid all year. The Hurricanes made the QB chance with N’Kosi Perry, and it seems to be the right one as the sophomore has thrown for 5 TDs compared to 1 interception. Georgia Tech is struggling to find consistency at the QB position as 3 guys have combined for 5 TDs compared to 6 interceptions, and Miami’s defense will eat that up. The Hurricanes will find success on the offensive side of the ball, but I expect the defense to force a handful of turnovers and potentially put up a defensive score in a blowout win.
