The Cincinnati Bearcats visit the Miami (OH) Redhawks with the Victory Bell going to the winner of this college football rivalry.
The Cincinnati Bearcats are shooting for back to back wins to start the season after downing the UCLA Bruins 26-17 as a two touchdown road dog. Both squads finished with about 305 total yards with Cincinnati rushing 51 times for 194 yards and owning the ball for 34+ minutes. Desmond Ridder paced the Bearcats passing attack, going 13-24 for 100 yards.
Michael Warren II gave the Cincinnati ground game punch with 142 yards on 35 carries and three touchdowns while Ridder added 63 yards on 14 totes. Warren also topped the Bearcats with three receptions for 29 yards. The key for Cincinnati was controlling the clock and containing the UCLA offense and recording a safety.
The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks will be looking to get their first win after falling 35-28 to visiting Marshall as a one point favorite. Miami (Ohio) fell behind early and never caught up despite both teams totaling around 445 yards.
The Redhawks were pass heavy with quarterback Gus Ragland completing 25-46 for 357 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Jack Sorenson topped Miami(OH) with three catches for 106 yards and a score while Alonzo Smith was the top runner with 35 yards and a TD on eight carries.
