The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and the Miami Hurricanes will meet up on the college football circuit Saturday.

Bethune-Cookman enters this one at 1-0 so far. The Wildcats posted a 36-15 win over Jackson state in the opener, then the Week 2 matchup versus Southeastern Louisiana was cancelled.

In the win over Jackson State, Bethune-Cookman’s Akevious Williams managed 144 yards and a TD passing, and Taron Mallard hauled in four grabs for 60 yards. Isaac Washington led the Wildcats rush on 61 yards.

Over on the Miami side, they’re 0-2 this season. the Hurricanes had a 24-20 loss to Florida in Week 1, and dropped to UNC 28-25 this past weekend.

In the loss to the Tar Heels, Miami QB Warren Williams had 309 yards with two touchdowns, and DeeJay Dallas had 107 rush yards. Mike Harley led the Miami receivers with 79 yards on five catches.

The over is 4-1 in the Wildcats’ last five games on grass and 6-2 in their last eight non-conference games. The over is 4-0 in Bethune-Cookman’s last four after a straight-up win of over 20 points.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are 1-8 ATS versus a team with a winning record and the under is 4-0-1 in their last five games after a loss. The under is 6-0 in Miami’s last six after posting more than 280 pass yards in their previous game.

We only have the one game to gauge Bethune-Cookman by, but outside of a quiet first half (zero points) they looked pretty solid in their opener. Granted, the competition here is going to be much more stout. With that in mind, I’m leaning toward Miami on the cover.
