The Line: Michigan State -3.5 -- Over/Under: 67.5
The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State Spartans meet Saturday night at Spartan Stadium.
The Oregon Ducks are coming off a 61-42 victory over Eastern Washington last week. Vernon Adams is completing 76 percent of his passes for 246 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Adams is probable for Oregon despite an upper-body injury. Dwayne Stanford and Byron Marshall have combined for more than 150 receiving yards and one touchdown while Bralon Addison has one touchdown on three receptions. The Oregon Ducks ground game is averaging 485 yards per contest, and Royce Freeman leads the way with 180 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Oregon is allowing 42 points and 549 yards per game. Chris Seisay leads the Ducks with seven tackles, Joe Walker has a sack and Juwaan Williams has an interception.
The Michigan State Spartans are coming off a 37-24 victory over Western Michigan. Connor Cook is completing 48.4 percent of his passes for 256 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Cook has to be more accurate if MSU hopes to make the playoffs this season. Aaron Burbridge and Josiah Price have combined for more than 150 receiving yards and a touchdown while DeAnthony Arnett has a touchdown on two receptions. The Michigan State Spartans ground game is averaging 196 yards per contest, and LJ Scott leads the way with 77 rushing yards and 13 carries. Defensively, Michigan State is allowing 24 points and 383 yards per game. Riley Bullough leads the Spartans with nine tackles, Vayante Copeland has two tackles for loss and Montae Nicholson has an interception. Linebacker Drake Martinez is questionable for this game.
The Ducks are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Spartans are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
I've seen this movie a million times. Oregon usually always loses to physical teams that can bully them into the ground. Stanford, Ohio State, Auburn, etc etc. Yes, the Ducks did beat the Spartans last season, but this time the game is in East Lansing. If Eastern Washington can put up 42 points, I'm afraid of what MSU is going to do. This may get ugly.
