CFB | Wisconsin Badgers (8-3) at Minnesota Golden Gophers (5-6)

The Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Gophers square off Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium for the Paul Bunyan's Axe.

The Wisconsin Badgers look for their fourth road win of the year to set up a possible double-digit win season. Joel Stave is completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 2,391 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Stave has thrown five picks in his last three games. Robert Wheelwright and Alex Erickson have combined for 1,227 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Troy Fumagalli has 26 receptions. The Wisconsin Badgers ground game is averaging 138.1 yards per contest, and Dare Ogunbowale leads the way with 614 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Wisconsin is allowing 12.4 points and 266.3 yards per game. T.J. Edwards leads the Badgers with 74 tackles, Tanner McEvoy has four interceptions and Joe Schobert has 9.5 sacks. Chris Orr is questionable with a leg injury.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers need a win to become bowl eligible for the fourth straight season. Mitch Leidner is completing 59.4 percent of his passes for 2,255 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Leidner has four touchdown passes in his last three games. KJ Maye and Drew Wolitarsky have combined for 1,089 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Brandon Lingen has 28 receptions. The Minnesota Golden Gophers ground game is averaging 151 yards per contest, and Shannon Brooks leads the way with 636 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Minnesota is allowing 25.6 points and 355.6 yards per game. Antonio Johnson leads the Golden Gophers with 87 tackles, Jalen Myrick has three interceptions and Steven Richardson has 3.5 sacks. Isaiah Gentry, Jeff Jones and Isaac Hayes are questionable.

The Badgers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Golden Gophers are 13-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Badgers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Wisconsin was just manhandled at home by Northwestern. Meanwhile, Minnesota just picked up a solid win over a desprate Illinois team and before that was hanging around with Iowa and Ohio State. When you add the fact it's senior day and the Golden Gophers hope to make a fourth straight bowl game, I give the edge to the home team.

Golden Gophers outright.
