The Boston College Eagles will face the NC State Wolfpack in college football activity from Carter-Finley on Saturday.

The Eagles enter this game with a 4-1 record so far. Boston College took out UMass, Holy Cross and Wake Forest before falling to Purdue. This past Saturday, Boston College got back on track with a win over Temple.

In the Temple game, Eagles QB Anthony Brown logged 139 yards and two scores, one to Jeff Smith who led the team in receiving with four grabs for 36 yards. AJ Dillon and Ben Glines led the rush with 181 combined yards and three TDs.

Over on the NC State side, they’re sitting at 4-0 this season. Thus far the Wolfpack has taken out James Madison, Georgia State, Marshall and Virginia. (The West Virginia game was postponed.)

In the Virginia game this past Saturday, NC State QB Ryan Finley logged 257 yards and three scores, while Ricky Person put up 108 yards on 14 carries. Kelvin Harmon was the top Wolfpack receiver on 94 yards and a TD from six grabs.

The Eagles are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight conference games and 5-0 ATS in their last five in October. Boston College is 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 overall and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 following a straight-up win.

Meanwhile, NC State is 4-0 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in the last five overall. The Wolfpack is also 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win and 5-2 ATS in their last seven on grass.

Boston College’s run game against Temple was absolutely off the chain, as both Dillon and Glines averaged over 5.0 yards per carry (5.8 and 5.2, respectively). If the Eagles can get a little bit of that magic here, it will help tremendously in the clock control department.

As for NC State, they’re looking pretty impressive thus far, but they’re about to hit a gauntlet of solid teams in the next few weeks that will show us exactly where they’re at.

This should be an excellent matchup, and I’m going with Boston College to cover but realistically staying away.

Boston College Eagles +3.5
