The North Carolina State Wolfpack meet the Texas A&M Aggies in the Gator Bowl in Monday college football action.
The North Carolina State Wolfpack ended the regular season with three straight wins to finish the year at 9-3. North Carolina State turned 47.5 yards in to 35.6 points with the #6 passing attack accounting for 328 yards. The Wolfpack allowed 380 yards and 22.7 points with opposing offenses attacking through the air with 271 yards given up.
NCSU quarterback Ryan Finley enjoyed a banner year connecting on 67.9% of his throws for 3,789 yards with 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Kelvin Harmon led the Wolfpack receiving corps with 1,186 yards on 81 receptions while Jakobi Meyers caught 89 passes for 1,028 yards.
Reggie Gallaspy was the workhorse of the NC State ground game with 1,014 yards on 214 touches with Ricky Person Jr. totaling 424 yards.
The Texas A&M Aggies closed 2018 with three wins in a row for an 8-4 record. Texas A&M averaged 466 yards and 34.7 points with equal ability to run or throw. The Aggies defense allowed 355 yards and 26 points but struggled versus the pass with the opposition throwing for 263 yards.
Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond threw for 2,967 yards on 57.6% with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Jace Sternberger gave the Aggies passing attack explosion with 804 yards on 47 catches and a 17.1 yard average while Quartney Davis caught 43 passes for 546 yards.
Trayveon Williams was focal point of the Texas A&M ground attack with 1,524 yards on 252 carries with a six yard average.
