The Hawaii Warriors make the long trip to University Stadium to take the field with the New Mexico Lobos.
The Hawaii Warriors have been struggling to find the end zone in recent years and 2015 seems to be following the same trend. The Warriors have been saddled with a three game slide following a 28-14 defeat at the hands of visiting San Diego State. UH was outgained 402-251 and gave the ball away three times with less then 25 minutes of possession. The question is who is going to play quarterback for Hawaii with Max Wittek going 14-34 for 179 yards with a pair of interceptions with Ikaika Woolsey completing 5-5 for 19 yards. Isaiah Bernard led Hawaii with a pair of catches for 58 yards while Melvin Davis ran for 52 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown.
The New Mexico Lobos seem to be getting more respect then in recent seasons and were given at least a shot of beating Nevada on the road in week six. However the Wolf Pack had the best of the play in a 35-17 decision built on a 21-7 second half. Nevada rolled up a 517-273 edge in yardage as UNM could not get their rushing attack going. Teriyon Gipson was the only Lobos runner of note with 68 yards on eleven carries with a touchdown. New Mexico tried their hand at passing more then usual with Lamar Jordan and Austun Apodaca combining for 19-24 for 138 yards Dameon Gamblin logging eight receptions for 71 yards.
The under is 4-0 in Rainbow Warriors last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and is 5-0 in Rainbow Warriors last 5 games following a ATS loss. While the Rainbow Warriors are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Lobos are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss and are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while going 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. I feel a little weird laying chalk with New Mexico but I’m not sure there is a choice…
