The Alcorn State Braves stayed on rack for a 5th straight SWAC East title with a 27-13 victory at Prairie View A&M on Saturday. Alcorn State piled up a 512-235 yardage edge and picked off a pair of throws with one coming in the end zone.
Braves quarterback Noah Johnson completed 19-31 for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Alcorn State was able to run the ball with De’Shawn Waller leading the way with 120 yards and a score on 20 totes while catching an eleven yard pass while Johnson added 81 yards on 12 carries.
Dayall Harris was the Braves top receiving option with three reception for 81 yards and a TD with Chris Blair catching three passes for 63 yards and another touchdown.
